Microsoft Project Online Migration Service

TimeControl Microsoft Project Online Migration Service, Chris Vandersluis, Christopher Vandersluis, Christopher Peter VandersluisWith the imminent decommissioning of Microsoft Project Online, we have been approached by numerous companies asking if we are able to save their Project Online timesheet and associated project and task data.  It is perhaps to be expected as HMS is a company which has had a link to Project Online since its creation and has had links to every version of Microsoft Project since 1985.

We are delighted to announce that we are able to provide such a service.

HMS has just announced a Project Online Migration Service for new customers.  There are minimum license requirements, but the service is a fixed fee.  Here is what is included.

  1. HMS will use the link we have already established to Project Online to access all timesheet data. We will download these historic timesheets into a blank TimeControl Online environment.
  2. For each timesheet we will create the associated assignment, resource, employee, task and project to maintain the referential integrity for which TimeControl is famous.
  3. Once the data has been migrated to TimeControl, the client can then migrate its project management environment either to TimeControl Project or to any project management tool to which HMS has an existing link. A complete list of tools can be found on the TimeControl website on the Solutions page.
  4. Alternately, the client could use the TimeControl data simply as a repository for the historic data. Minimum licensing conditions will apply.

For more information on the schedule of the decommissioning of Project Online, see our blog post at: Microsoft Project Online will go Offline.
